Let me just put it out there, let’s get it over with: I am a travel addict. In my own “immortal” words, it is what it is☺ You wanna hear the funny part? While I’ve seen most of Europe, I have yet to leave my beautiful continent. So that’s gonna change asap.
But as I was saying, I’ve seen most of Europe and I am here to give you some tips. Do’s and don’ts, to share some pictures, local cuisine and friendly advices. How I love flying but hate the uncomfortable seats on short flights (my curvy bum gets stuck in the seat) , on how I’m claustrophobic but don’t mind sitting on a plane. Oh, but when it was time to sail the Mediterranean with our friends from Greece, I slept on every bench in every port on every island because the cabins on the boat were giving me anxiety. And my mom had to come find me every morning cause you know, we ain’t no McAllister family from Home Alone.
Oh I have stories you wouldn’t believe. We used to spend every summer at camp in the mountains in Romania sleeping in bunk beds in 3 rooms. We were a big group of friends who did everything together.
I got lost in an olive tree orchard on an island in Greece with my ex while on a moped in the middle of the night and ended up buying wine from a local. My dad couldn’t handle driving on the other side in Malta one summer so he flipped dozens of mirrors on local cars. When we wanted to leave the car in the middle of a crossing in Athens because traffic was that bad . When after seeing all the castles in France, we got to Paris happy as can be and I told my dad: nope, not staying in this smelly city. Salsa dancing in a club in London with one of my childhood besties. Ripping my pants and leaving my bum bare in the middle of the orchid garden in Madeira while my other bestie was laughing her pants of (all puns intended). Spending each week before Christmas in Vienna with my third bestie. When a horse from the Carlsberg brewery in Copenhagen slobbered all over me while trying to give me some love in the middle of the summer while rain was pouring down on us and I was freezing at 10 degrees. How we took the wrong last train from Barcelona to Lloret de Mar in 2008 and ended up in the middle of nowhere. How I had the best pizza in France but the best Schnitzel in Italy and how the most amazing city I’ve been to is actually Edinburgh.
Intrigued? Stick with me, I’ll tell you all about it and much more. A story for every city!
